Anastrazole

Anastrozole is an aromatase inhibitor that works by blocking the aromatase enzyme, which is responsible for converting testosterone into estradiol in peripheral tissues such as fat. During testosterone replacement therapy, increased testosterone levels can lead to a proportional rise in estradiol through this same conversion pathway. By inhibiting aromatase activity, anastrozole is designed to help maintain a more balanced testosterone-to-estradiol ratio in men whose lab work indicates elevated estradiol on TRT.
